More than 500 people attended the University of Central Lancashire on Thursday, 28 April to take part in a public Brexit debate. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Mike Thomas and Mark Hendrick, MP for Preston, voiced their opinions for the UK to remain in the EU while John Bickley, UKIP Party Treasurer, and Dr Mark Baimbridge, Senior Economics Lecturer at the University of Bradford, spoke about the benefits of EU withdrawal. The event was chaired by broadcaster and University Board member Fiona Armstrong.
